Polymer fuel cells are recognized as a significant source of clean energy production. Bipolar plates are among the most crucial components of these cells in terms of weight and cost. In this paper, the thinning of stamped bipolar plates is evaluated using the ANFIS model. Initially, the stamping process of titanium sheets was modeled using finite element simulation, which was subsequently validated with experimental results. Subsequently, 20 experiments were designed and executed (considering die clearance, stamping speed, and friction coefficient as inputs and bipolar plate thinning as the output). Finally, an ANFIS model was used to estimate the maximum thinning. The results showed that the proposed model could predict the maximum thinning of the formed bipolar plate with acceptable accuracy.
