Gohar Sanat Company, by leveraging its technical expertise in control and electromechanical systems, provides consulting, localization, design, and manufacturing solutions. With years of diverse experience in this field, the company has successfully delivered numerous projects.
One of the company’s most strategic achievements is the design and development of the control and monitoring system for electric-drive dump trucks, a bottleneck technology essential for the production of high-tonnage dump trucks. Until recently, only three global companies—General Electric (USA), Siemens (Germany), and Toshiba (Japan)—had developed such systems, and all manufacturers of this type of dump truck relied on purchasing and installing controllers from these companies.
With pride, Gohar Sanat has become the fourth company worldwide, and the first in Iran, to design, manufacture, and test this critical system, fully relying on the expertise of Iranian specialists. Today, the company not only meets its own requirements but also stands ready to supply this technology to other enterprises entering the sector.
The control and monitoring system acts as the “brain” of the dump truck, coordinating the behavior and performance of subsystems including the diesel engine, generator, wheels, traction motors, hydraulics, suspension, and braking systems (retarder, pedal brakes, parking brakes, and emergency brakes), as well as load management. It factors in external variables such as road slope, distance, terrain roughness, humidity, temperature, and operator behavior. Thanks to integrated data links, the system also enables remote monitoring of both the dump truck and operator performance.
The development of this system has paved the way for manufacturing dump trucks in various tonnages, encouraging greater investment and collaboration from companies and mining enterprises.
